Canon DPP 3.2 & OS X 10.5.1 (ping Chuck)

Has anyone else here tried to use Canon's latest iteration of DPP? It now stands at version 3.2 but it is refusing to play nicely with OS X 10.5.1 and I have been unable to visualise or process any RAW image files. I also cannot visualise any other image filetypes. My previous version of the Canon software was DPP 3.0.2 and it had appeared to work well. I can see some exciting changes in the functionality of v3.2 but I would have much preferred to have a working copy of DPP. I have junked the preferences file but to no avail. I have trawled the net and now it seems to me that a number of other people have been experiencing some difficulty with OS X and DPP 3.2. It may be an OS X issue but the complaints which I have read, do seem to point to the newest version of DPP as being the likely culprit. I wonder if Chuck would be able to discuss any sort of workaround until the issues are resolved... or at least provide the information that Canon are aware of this particular issue and that there is a finite time-frame for the solution. (I have added 20kb of what had proven to be a 120kb text file of the crash... every crash report looks similar and it occurs just as soon as any image file [all image file-types appear as empty spaces with file name] is clicked on and then DPP crashes. If there is no fix available and it proves to be a Canon software issue, I will have no alternative but to review my RAW processing arrangements and, very reluctantly, move to another RAW processor. I really would like to stay with DPP if it is possible but with an amount of current work to process, I am unable to hold out for too long, without post-processing a couple of my recent shoots. Kind regards,
Jeff
